Light as architecture — where materiality, light, and proportion combine to create a distinctive sense of place.
A complete 7,000 sq ft residential rebuild, Twenty One was designed around a strong connection between the interior and garden, with expansive areas of glazing bringing natural light deep into the newly created spaces.
ProfotoDesign was commissioned to photograph the completed residence, with particular attention given to the glazing, the quality of natural light and the relationship between the architecture and its surroundings.
The resulting imagery documents the finished project through considered compositions that reveal its proportions, materiality and contemporary character.

At Twenty One, that language is defined by scale, proportion, natural light and the relationship between the interior spaces and the garden beyond.
Before making the photographs, we consider how the architecture is experienced: where the eye is drawn, how spaces connect, where the light falls and which details reveal the quality of the finished project.
This understanding provides the foundation for a photographic approach that goes beyond simply recording rooms and spaces.

Architectural photography is an interpretation of a building as much as a record of it.
For Twenty One, we focused on the interaction between expansive glazing, natural light, materials and space. Carefully considered viewpoints reveal the depth of the interiors while maintaining a sense of their connection to the exterior.
Rather than treating each room as an individual subject, the photography follows the architectural relationships throughout the house — creating a coherent visual narrative that reflects how the spaces work together.
