Project brief.
Photograph the completed chapel at Chichester University with a particular emphasis on the natural slate used within the project. The challenge was to communicate the material's visual qualities while also conveying the scale and architectural presence of the wider site.
Purpose.
The commission was undertaken for SSQ Natural Slate as part of its continuing programme of project documentation. The imagery was intended to support the company's marketing activity and provide strong visual material for future industry award submissions.
Deliverables.
A combination of architectural and aerial photography, using ground-level views to explore the building and its material detailing alongside elevated perspectives that reveal the chapel within its wider university setting.
Outcome.
A varied portfolio of imagery that gives SSQ both detailed material photography and a broader understanding of the project. The aerial work introduces a sense of scale and context, while the architectural images demonstrate how the slate contributes to the finished building.
